Pros:
It was a convenient locationCons:
After hour drop-off should be a standard option. When I dropped the car off the agent pointed to a rather large scratch on the underside of the front bumper and asked me what I had hit. I didn't hit anything at all and this freaked me out that I would have to pay for it when I know I did not do it. I was thinking that both they and I had missed it on the initial inspection. Luckily, they had past photos and it showed on some of those. They need to be more cardful2.8 Poor

Just the price.Cons:
Well! Pick up: Employee didn’t bother to ask me to check out the car for previous dents or paint damages. I understand that we are una a pandemic situation but that location is so sketchy! Everything is set up in a kinda banquets salon or something. Drop off: This was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. 1.- Hertz should tell costumers that hotel driveway is closed (blocked with orange cones) and they have to ask security to let you in to drop off rentals). I did drop off my rental using the exit driveway BECAUSE the entrance driveway ramp was closed! Saying that! That rude security guy named “victor” saw me coming in thru the exit! He rudely asked me “where are you going “SIR?”” I nicely told him that I’m dropping off my rental. He replied back in a threatening way “you gotta turn around and use the entrance ramp” i explained him that it was blocked/closed, he got upset and almost yielded at me. I asked him to stop giving me attitude because I am not being rude to him! He replied: you want me to give you attitude? I can give you that! But you gotta turn around and use the other entrance. I asked him for his supervisor name and phone number, he said he was the “supervisor”, the I asked him for his employer phone number to submit a complaint! He gave me a fake phone number. He made me use the other ramp to just drive on a circle to get to the same place. I dropped off the car and came back to his desk that is located outside of the hotel. I asked him for his name and I wanted to see his lanyard but he refused to do it saying that he is not allowed to do it! (Why he has it hanging on his neck if he is not gonna show it?) I told him again that he was very rude with no reason and I felt harassed by him! And discriminated because the way he treated me and called me “Sir” (I’m a trans woman). I on my way out of the hotel property I tried to cal to the phone number he gave me but it was a fake number. Fortunately at the end of the ramp there was 2 security guards coming to work so I asked them for their employer phone number to file a complaint. I hope hertz can get involved in this situation because it is just unacceptable! And like I mentioned before! They should inform costumers about the drop off situation to avoid this type of situations.2 locations in Downtown

Had to send email with subject line "cancel" to actually cancel because online cancel page was broken. Following website instructions, indicated cancel intentions and broken website. Got a "please use the website next time" reply, like I was too stupid to have done that the first time, rather than them acknowledging their broken page.3 locations in Downtown

Absolutely nothing. Customer services was bad all around, sent me to the wrong pickup location and when I was sent half way across LA by a rep at the lax location the office was closed.Cons:
They told me that the promo “was no longer valid” and charged me an extra $45/day and it is now taking weeks of customer service calls to get it taken care of.6.0 Okay

We made the reservation thru kayak, however when we got to the avis office they told us that there were no cars available and that they didn't understand why they had let us reserve the cars. It was a major disappointment.3 locations in Downtown

Pros:
Drop off and pick up was quite easy.Cons:
There was a used mask right on the front panel, and the car was just filthy. Was a bit concerning as we are in a pandemic and I rented a car to see my parents for fathers day and then there was a used mask in the front seat. I went back and the staff just sort of like, almost annoyed I was sort of making a big deal about the used mask. I just kept asking when it was last used as I didn't want to track back anything to my parents who are quite at risk. It was weird, there was cheeto's in the front compartment, the back of the van where I slept was sticky with candy. It was out of windshield wiper fluid, there were sunglasses up top. It just felt I walked into someone else's car, it sucked. All this talk about enhanced cleaning and i've literally picked up a rental car so dirty. Then I called to talk to someone about it and the customer service was just all over the place. One person said they would give me 2 free days, then the next said they would do 1, then another said the manager would call me and just nothing has been done. I would stay away from Budget and Avis and go with Enterprise or another brand.4.8 Mediocre

A nightmare to pickup the car. A half hour before my pick up time at a location near my hotel in downtown LA I received a phone call from the local office saying they had no cars available. When I call the Budget Customer Care they said I could pick up a car at another office a few blocks from my hotel and moved my reservation there. Problem solved no? Wrong! when I arrived at the new location dragging our suitcases, they Also said they had no cars. And told me I would have to go to the airport to pick up a car there. When I asked them to move my reservation to the airport they said they couldn’t. And they couldn’t even guarantee that there was a car there. So I had to call an Uber to take me to the airport at my expense. On the way I called Budget Customer Care again and although they could change my pickup to the airport they couldn’t guarantee the price quote for the car I was given. They quoted a new price for the rental at a much higher figure over $550 when the original quote was for $365. I haggled them down to $480. Even though I had already spent money for the Uber to pick up the car. I will never, ever rent from Budget again2.0 Poor

Pros:
Budget called the afternoon before our reservation was to start and said they were completely sold out of cars and they wouldn’t a car to fill our reservation. They said this is very common and a reservation is essentially pointless.Cons:
Why do they take reservations if they don’t plan to honor them. Don’t take reservations if you don’t have cars available.2.0 Poor
